I find these days I'm having way to much fun making art that I have no time to blog about it.
I can't make enough to put in my etsy shop, everything I make has an intended recipient, so that too is pretty much defunct.
I have so much respect for those who have item after item in their shop, but it just doesn't work for me.
So I'm going to post all my recent projects and then pretty much close down this blog.
Thank you kind followers. I'll still occasionally post on my other blog, but having guilt over not blogging is silly, so fond farewell!

a class with KC Willis would be on it.

Never did I imagine that I would be able to travel to CO to attend a real collage camp, BUT, lo and behold, KC is coming to San Diego, and I was lucky enough to hear about it in time to sign up for a one day class.

Her art is certainly one of a kind and incorporates all the things that I love.

Small art quilts, which I was first introduced to by Jane LaFazio are right up my alley!
Small enough to finish, detailed enough to be really interesting.

In the class I hope to get better at transferring photos, especially vintage family ones, to fabric and embellishing them with this and that.
Here's a sample of one I did a while back, and I can't wait to add one with Lila and Larkin.

Should you have any interest in joining Davi and me on July 21st at the Urban Barn in Escondido (which sounds like it's worth a trip in itself) I'm posting a link to KC's website. You can get more details about the class in the sidebar, Workshops and Videos and once there at the tab, KC on the road.

Laurie sent me an Amazon certificate with which I promptly bought the cutest polka dot cake plate that came in the cutest polka dot hat box. Lovely decor for the 'room,' which has momentarily stalled out.

If you view any of the slide show above, you'll see that 2008 was a year of wonder, creativity and joy for me. I had so much fun making every item, and giving or mailing each one.

However, the small amount of work that I do for Neil at CharityMania

required me to get a fictitious business name, so I decided I might as well take it one step further, get a business license and open an Etsy shop which is as, of this moment, officially open.
